Many anglers clean the grease from new ball bearings before use and add their favourite lubricant. These bearings are not lubricated during the manufacturing process, so will save you a lot of unnecessary work! Just add your favourite lube or use dry! 
 
These are precision ball bearings rated ABEC 7 and manufactured in Germany

These bearings are shielded with Stainless Steel balls in a Stainless Steel shielding
 
The ABEC rating is how ball bearings are rated. The ABEC rating is from 1-9. The grades are 1,3,5,7, and 9.
 
The higher the ABEC rating, the tighter the manufacturing tolerances. The higher the tolerance, indicates a more precisely manufactured part. High precision and small tolerances are required for bearings to function at very high RPM.
