Please note we are a mail order and reel repair business and do not therefore have a retail showroom. We do not accept personal callers
You have the right to cancel orders within seven days of order placement, or within seven days of recieving goods which ever is longer. If you cancel an order you will get a full refund.
Returns & Refunds
You may return unused and unopened goods for refund within seven days of item arrival. All items must be in the original packaging with all accessories intact. Defective or damaged goods will be refunded if the buyer reports them within seven days. For all returns the buyer must let us know the reason prior to return. The buyer will be responsible for the safe return of goods. It is highly recommmended a trackable means of return is used. We will not be responsible for breakage or losses during the return shipping process. We will notify you by email once we recieve the return and have processed a return. We typically process orders within seven working days of recieving them.
Prices and payments
We accept payment in Pounds Sterling. Product prices do not include postage and packaging costs.
We accept payments through our integrated website by credit/debit card via the Worldpay secure payment system. We also accept payments over the telephone 07523142760 by debit/credit card via the Worldpay secure payment system.
We use the Royal Mail for the bulk of our deliveries. The majority of orders placed before noon will be despatched same day. Only completed and fully paid for orders will be despatched. Orders placed on bank holidays and weekends will be despatched next working day. Certificates of postage are obtained from the Post Office.
The majority of orders need to be signed for,as we use a signed for service or fully tracked service with the Royal Mail. If you require the tracking number please email with your order number.
Orders will only to posted to the address of the cardholder. If you cannot get your address correct, your order will not get to you! Please use your POSTCODE
We have suspended shipping overseas due to the Covid-19 pandemic
The Royal Mail deliver orders promptly, if you use the correct postal address. It is the customers responsibility to ensure that the order addresses is correct, not ours! If you are not in to sign for your parcel the Post person will leave a card with re-delivery information. It is not our fault if a card is not left!
If your order is allegedly lost by the Royal Mail it is not classed as lost until the Royal Mail lost waiting time has passed. Currently the Royal Mail class a lost item as not delivered within fifteen working days, after the due delivery date has passed. Please ensure you supply your CORRECT delivery address.

Standard Reel Repair Terms and Conditions
1/ By sending a reel to us you have read and understood our terms and conditions.
2/ We repair Abu-Garcia, Akios, Daiwa, Penn, Shimano and the older classic 1950-1990 Mitchell fishing reels, if the parts are available from the respective manufacturers. Parts are not available for the majority of Mitchell/Penn/Shakespeare/Wychwood spinning reels, as they want to sell reels and do not want to support users of their products. There are no parts for Shimano reels over five years old
2/ Reels will be returned using a choice of Royal Mail tracked services such as "recorded" or "Special delivery" next-day special delivery. To be paid for by the customer. Collect Plus courier is the only courier we use and will be used with mutual consent. No Hermes ever!!!!
3/ Reel repair/service estimates will ONLY be given only if requested by the customer before work comences
4/ If you wish to retain your line/braid please remove from your reel(s) before posting or LET US KNOW
5/ We strip, degrease and ultrasonically clean a reel in order to inspect it and it costs time and money! If a customer declines the repair fee, the unbuilt reel and internal parts will only be returned to the customer, once a fee of £20.00 has been paid to cover the cleaning/handling/labour charge, in addition to the return postage charge. The reel will be returned in parts and not rebuilt. This fee will be needed to be paid before release.
6/ Parts are no longer available from Pure Fishing UK, the owners of the ABU, Mitchell and Penn brands. So sometimes there is a wait of 4-10 weeks for parts delivery. We do keep an inventory of over 25,000 Abu, Mitchell and Penn parts. Parts ordered in will need to paid for up front.
7/ We have a large parts inventory to enable the repair and servicing of the French manufactured Mitchell models up to 1990 and the full range of ABU Ambassadeur reels. If we do not have the part in stock we will try and acquire it for servicing. It is impossible to keep every part in stock.
8/ All reels NOT PAID FOR WITHIN THIRTY DAYS will become the property of of Jim's Reel Shop and will be disposed of how we see fit.
9/ We accept bank transfer and payment over the telephone by credit/debit card. NO CHEQUES or Postal Orders.
10/ NO GOODS or serviced reels will be released without payment in full
