ABU AMBASSADEUR RIGHT HANDED 6500 DRIVE SHAFT BALL BEARING UP-GRADE

The handle Drive shaft fitted to the Ambassadeur multiplier reels supports the handle and the rotational loading of a fish/casting weight under pressure. On the modern 4000/5000/6000 & 6500 reels the upper bushing is supported by an INA anti-reverse, one-way roller bearing, through the end plate. The JRS upgrade includes a Stainless Steel German ball bearing in the base of the bushing to reduce & minimalise friction; the standard bushing is made of brass. The addition of a ball bearing means the bushing is easier to turn under load.  Our workshop machine the bushing, so that the base and the very inside end of the shaft are touching the brake plate spindle. This ensures friction is minimized allowing the bearing to do its job.
