DAIWA 7HT/7HT MAG BRASS TOP HAT HANDLE/DRIVE SHAFT SUPPORT BUSHES
A precision machined Brass Drive Shaft Support, top-hat bushing, which fits upon the driveshaft of all of the Daiwa 7HT models.
This bushing adds support to the drive shaft and reduces the large range of lateral movement, which in turn reduces wear to the pinion and main gears of the 7HT reels. The bushing is an upgrade well worth considering, if you intend fitting a larger, custom power handle to your reel.
Adding a pinion support bushing is an easy modification. Just unscrew the handle cap screw, remove the plastic handle cap, e-clip and thrust washer. The driveshaft is now visible. Add a few droplets of Penn oil, into the driveshaft, insert the top hat bushing into the opening and re-assemble.
