The classic Mitchell ovoid 300 shaped reels

Mitchell bailsprings are kept under constant tension by the bail wire assembly and do suffer fatigue. Here is some information about the Mitchell series of reels. We have Mitchell bailsprings in stock.

300 Shaped reels

A single bailspring Mitchell part number 81014 is needed when changing the spring for the Mitchell 300, 300A, 300C, 300DL, 300 CENTURY, 300 PRO, 305, 307, 315, 350A, 400, 410, 410A, 410DL, 500, 510 and 810 reels.  

301 Shaped reels

A single bailspring Mitchell part number 81015 is needed for models 301, 301C, 304, 304S, 314, 340, 351, 411 and 411A reels.

Mitchell 300A-300A  (02-1984)

 300S-301S, Skirted spooled reels, bail spring change information

A pair of bailsprings are needed when changing the Skirted spooled models. Mitchell Bail springs part numbers 82560 and 82561 are needed for the 300S, 301S, 400S, 900, 910 and 910 reels. We keep them in stock.
