Mitchell annually published product catalogues in many countries of the world.

These publications advertised the new products coming onto the market and included fishing rods as well as fishing reels. I am showing some cataloues from my personal collection.

Garcia-Mitchell catalogues

Trade catalogue dated 1960

The trade catalogue for 1960 is full of information featuring the products on sale for that year. Fishing related items are manufactured by Mitchell, Abu, Youngs United Kingdom called Garcia Beaudex, Pridex and Landex before being bought by Shakespeare possibly. As well as reels there are rods, lures, spinning outfits, jewellery and monofilament fishing lines.

The Garcia company were a huge corporation which also distributed sold many other types of sporting equipment. Garcia were also distributors in Canada and the UK.

Tackle catalogue 1974

In the 1974 Garcia consumer catalogue are some fantastic pictures of the products being retailed that year. Manufacturers included Mitchell, Abu and Garcia's own brand of reels-Kingfisher.
